I LOVE pilates. It has quite literally changed my life. I love what it does for my body, mind, and spirit. I have discovered firsthand that the saying is true: if you are doing something you love, it doesn’t feel like work. (Introduction) I am an avid T.V. binge watcher, mother of 3, and most importantly a pilates instructor! I spent most of my life dreading exercise. I could never find a workout that I genuinely enjoyed and that made me feel good. Since I am only 5’2”, I was looking for some type of exercise that would elongate and lean my muscles, since everything else I tried was making me bulkier. Then, fifteen years ago, I wandered into a new pilates studio down the street from my house. Like many of you, I had no idea what to expect from my first class. But after the first week I was hooked! Pilates has changed my body in such a positive way, doing just what it had promised: lengthening my body, strengthening my core, and leaning out my muscles. I was taking pilates so often, I became friends with the owner of the studio, and soon I became a trainer as well as manager for the growing Lagree Fitness studios around the valley. Throughout my 13 years teaching classes, I also built up a vast private clientele. Because of my expert familiarity and extended experience working with these machines, I thoroughly understand these exercises and how to tweak a workout for your individualized needs. Everyone is at a different strength level and I am here to bring out the best in YOU. A big part of any exercise routine is mental, so I am big on bringing a positive attitude and a motivating mindset to make working out and being healthy fun. I love seeing people’s bodies change and watch their confidence grow. I have often been called a “cheerleader” by my clients. And that is just fine by me! Having a routine and working out on a regular basis can change more than just your body. I know this workout works and I am so excited to share my experience with others.

Pilates is unique in that it’s low-impact and combines heightened mental focus with precise, controlled movements that challenge your small and large muscles in a way other workouts don’t. At Under the Tree Pilates, I offer classes that can be designed just for you, both in terms of the workout itself and the workout environment with playlists ranging from upbeat popular radio jams, funky 80’s tunes, and any and all song requests to personalize your workout experience! Each Pilates routine lasts 50 minutes so you can always fit it into your day, and you won’t have to go to a crowded, intimidating gym to reach your goals! With Under the Tree Pilates, you get personal one-on-one attention so you can focus on what you want to improve. My pilates studio has 2 machines so double privates are also available if you want to come with a friend, spouse, sibling etc. I can’t wait to help motivate you, inspire you, and keep you on track with your fitness goals!
